Opening hours

Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm. The reading room is open from Tuesday to Friday 9.00am to 4.30pm, closed Mondays and public holidays. 

Disability access


All public areas of the Northern Territory Archives Centre are wheelchair accessible.

A toilet with disabled facilities is near the reading room.

You can bring a recognised assistance animal, including guide and hearing dogs.

Getting there

By car - there is limited parking at the front of the building on Kelsey Crescent.

By bus - route 10 from Harry Chan Avenue, Darwin City runs to Casuarina and back. The bus stops on Bagot Road near Skelton Street, a five minute walk to the NT Archives Centre.

The entrance to the Northern Territory Archives Centre is in Kelsey Crescent though the official address is
370 Bagot Road.

Office hours Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm.
The reading room is open Monday to Friday 9.00am to noon and 1.00pm to 4.30pm, closed Mondays and public holidays.

Getting there

Minerals House is located between Gregory Terrace and Stott Terrace on Hartley Street, 150 metres away from the Yeperenye Shopping Centre.

Bus 

The closest bus stop is opposite the post office in Hartley Street. All bus routes include a stop there. Walk 250 metres to the corner of Hartley Street and Gregory Street, then walk a further 50 metres to Minerals House.

Cycling

You can park your bicycle in the foyer of the NT Archives Service.

Walking

Minerals House is 150 metres from the Yeperenye Shopping Centre.

Driving

You can park for three hours at the Alice Springs Town Council car park 50 metres away at the corner of Hartley and Gregory Streets.
Parking on Hartley Street is limited to one hour.
