Inter-library loan

The Northern Territory Library offers inter-library loans to help Territorians access information from libraries across the Northern Territory (NT), Australia and from overseas.

Borrowing from the Library

To borrow from the Northern Territory Library, go to your public library to request your item.

The Northern Territory Library can't lend directly to you, as it is a reference and research library.

Some items may not be available for loan.

Borrowing from other libraries

The Northern Territory Library has reciprocal borrowing rights from other libraries in the NT at no charge.

The Northern Territory Library can access items and copies of articles from interstate and overseas libraries.

The requested hardcopy items will need to be viewed onsite at the Northern Territory Library, in Parliament House, Darwin.

This service is available to all Territorians including remote libraries.

Requests can be made by contacting the Northern Territory Library.

Some fees may apply and all document delivery services are subject to copyright legislation.
