Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory

The Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT) is the Northern Territory’s premier cultural institution. MAGNT is both a museum and art gallery with collections, exhibitions and programs across the core areas of Aboriginal culture, natural sciences, history and art, focussing on Northern and Central Australia and the Northern Territory’s near neighbours.

The Board of MAGNT is responsible for delivering its functions as prescribed in the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory Act and operates within a Strategic Vision recently adopted by the Board.

The Northern Territory Government is now calling for Expressions of Interest from individuals to join the Board of MAGNT, who will contribute towards achieving MAGNT’s ambitious plans.

Appointments are for up to three years.

Expressions of Interest from people with skills and/or expertise in science and from Indigenous people are encouraged. Expressions of Interest from interested parties from within, as well as outside the Northern Territory, are also eligible.

Expressions of interest close on 23/06/2017 and should be made in writing to:
