Women in Sport Advisory Committee seeking expressions of interest for members
A new Women in Sport Advisory Committee (the Advisory Committee) is being established to provide strategic and practical advice to improve the delivery, recognition, promotion and development of participation and leadership opportunities for women in sport in the NT.
A community voice for those who have previously or currently participated in sport in the NT as a player, coach, official or volunteer, the Advisory Committee will have up to 10 members, with a combination of any of the following knowledge/skills:
- Sport in the Northern Territory and/or Nationally
- The sport and recreation landscape in Northern Territory (grass roots to elite)
- Club Management and Operations
- Volunteer Management
- Sport and/or Business Management
In finalising membership, consideration will be given to ensuring a balance of a wide spectrum of sports being represented, as well as a range of experiences and skills.
Members will be appointed in November 2017 to commence duties in December 2017. The duration of the appointment will initially be for one year.
